Marco Camilleri

Marco founded BlockNova Finance in 2019 after 28 years in European financial-services compliance and consumer protection. He served as Senior Supervisor at the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) from 2008 to 2018, where his portfolio covered cross-border investment-firm supervision and consumer-complaint adjudication. Earlier in his career he was Compliance Director at HSBC Malta (2000–2008) and began his career in the legal department of Bank of Valletta.

He holds an LLB from the University of Malta and an MSc in Financial Regulation from the London School of Economics. He is a member of the Chamber of Advocates of Malta and the International Compliance Association (UK). Under his direction BlockNova Finance has grown to serve clients in eight European jurisdictions with a four-language case team.
